The MeanGirls

I was listening to a kyle and jackie O (radio casters ... for those of you who dont know them they have a show on the radio station foxfm in assailant) and the hot topic was about this woman who just recently got a job at a new firm. She was a new girl so she decided to be social one day and go out for friday drinks as you do.

And so... Drinking drinking and drinking she decides to approach "the cool girls" and make light conversation with them just so she can mix and migle... but mwahahaha... What did she encounter? THE MEANGIRLS incarnate!! Those of you who have watched the Lindsay loan movie "MEANGIRLS" would automatically understand the concept... but then again.. anyone who has ever been to highschool will also understand. In short, they are known as the "plastics" or popular girls. Those girls who always thought they were the coolest at school? the ones who wore syncronised clothes as if it were a sorority group.

SO without much ado.. the queen bee (aka leader of the pack) told her that she couldnt join the group because she was tainted by the other cliques in the office... em... aparently there are rules of admission...rules such as having to use certain colours for office supplies. or having to always enter the office with latte in left hand while still wearing branded sunglasses. WHAT THE FUCK?? these are grown woman in our australian workforce. we should have outlawed cliques such as these in the 80's!!!What i dont get is why oh god why are these so called "grown ups" acting like they are still in highschool? didnt we banish the children of the corn act back when we turned 18?
